St. Bernard Alumni Reunion - June 25-27, 2010

This year’s St. Bernard Alumni Reunion will be held the weekend of June 25-27, 2010. This annual event is an invitation for all St. Bernard alumni to return to their Alma Mater to renew old friendship, make new acquaintances and enjoy a walk down memory lane to remember the years spent at the campus.   “It is an exciting time and a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with this very special place,” said Miles Maxted, alumni coordinator.

Those who enjoy golf are asked to gather on Thursday evening, June 24th, to enjoy a reception and determine teams for the golf scramble scheduled for Friday morning.  A registration form for the golf scramble  as well as the reunion can be found below.

Friday evening, June 25th, alumni are invited to come to the Fazi-Richard Athletic Center for a dinner and social.  It will be a relaxed evening to spend time with former classmates and hear each other’s stories.

After breakfast on Saturday morning, there will be a reception at the newly renovated Grotto.  Also this day, one of the highlights will be a Town Hall meeting conducted by Abbot Cletus Meagher and Fr. Marcus Voss.  There will be tours of the campus with meeting rooms provided for the anniversary classes.  The day will conclude with a festive meal at the Fazi-Richard Athletic Center and an evening of dancing and camaraderie.

The anniversary classes include alumni who were members of classes with a “5” or a “0” in the year’s last digit; e.g., 1935, 1940, 1945, 1950, 1955, 1960, etc.  Alumni from those years who attended St. Bernard High School, Preparatory School, Junior College, College or Seminary are especially invited to come to this year’s reunion. 

“A class representative has been selected from each of the anniversary classes and they should be contacting members of their class,” said Maxted.  “Of course, all alumni are welcomed to come for the reunion but we do make a special effort to invite those celebrating anniversaries.”

“Plan your vacation to be at St. Bernard June 25-27,” Maxted continued.  “Call other members of your class to tell them you plan to attend and ask them to meet you here.”
