Dear St. Bernard Prep Alumni:

 

Greetings from all of us at St. Bernard!  This letter is to the 400 women and men who have graduated from St. Bernard Prep since it re-opened in 1984.  The past 24 years have gone quickly.  The progress at St. Bernard Prep has been great and the success of our graduates has been sensational.  Congratulations to all of you!

 

As the religious and lay leadership of St. Bernard Prep recently began a process to develop a strategic vision and plan for the future of this great school, we realized that we had done little to bring you, our young Prep School alumni into the ongoing life of St. Bernard.  With only a few exceptions, St. Bernard Prep's current lay alumni leadership is provided by women and men who attended St. Bernard in the 1940's, 50's and 60's-great friends, but getting older quickly!  If St. Bernard is to continue to grow and prosper over the next 100 years we must have your active leadership and support in many, many ways.  We need your help today!! 

 

To kick start St. Bernard Prep's "Leadership for the Future" campaign, one of our alumni will provide $50,000 in 2008 to provide an incentive to each of you to get more involved at St. Bernard.  Here is how you can help us earn the $50,000:

 

1.       Complete the attached information form and return it in the enclosed envelop.  We get $100 for each returned form.

 

2.      Participate in any activity at St. Bernard Prep in 2008, eg. Career day, college day, recruiting, school board, Alumni Weekend, Homecoming, Bloomin Festival, etc. Call Carolyn Branch at 800-722-0999 or e-mail her at cbranch@stbernardprep.com to let us know of your participation.  We get $50 each time you participate in any activity.

 

3.      Make a donation of any size to St. Bernard Prep in 2008 and it will be matched one for one.

 

Please take a minute and join St. Bernard Prep's Leadership for the Future Campaign today by completing the attached information form.  If your schedule permits, please indicate how you would like to help lead St. Bernard forward in the future.

  

 

I will provide each of you a campaign update in early June and every 60 days thereafter for the remainder of 2008.  I look forward to seeing you all at St. Bernard as we begin this exciting Leadership for the Future campaign.  My best wishes and prayers to you and your families in all that you do.
